Jim and I visited Cerro San Cristobal (or St Christopher's Hill) in Parque Metropolitan in Santiago Chile. We rode to the top of the hill via the cable cars you see here, another option is to take the funicular. The hill is the site of the 15 meter high statue of La Virgen Maria, partly the work of French Sculptor Frederic Bertholdi, famous for the "Statue of Liberty" here in America. Other sites include the church, the memorial to the Virgen Mary, city view, a pool and other city park like attractions.
