Jim and I travelled to El Salvador with the group Manos Que Ayudan for a one week medical mission at Hospital San Juan de Dios in Santa Ana. The team perfomed 98 surgeries over 5 days. Our general surgery team performed 32 laparoscopic cholecystectomies. Other teams included gynecology, pediatric plastics, and orthopaedic surgery. An upwards of 700 patients were seen in clinic, including GYN, internal med, and pediatrics. There was just enough time left for bit of sighseeing. Hope you enjoy the images!
